Day Camp

Please note:  Penn Charter Summer Camps are closed on June 19, Juneteenth, and July 4, Independence Day.

Drop-off begins at 8:45, and pickup is no later than 3:45 pm.

Program Highlights

The fundamental purpose of the Penn Charter Day Camp is to provide a happy, productive summer for children. The companionship of peers and the leadership of trained counselors attuned to the physical, social and emotional needs of children enrich the experience.

Activities include: instructional swim, free swim, tennis, art, archery, music, dance, drama, sports and games, electives, summer theme, guest performers, color team contests.

The camp is open to children ages three through 14 (younger children must be toilet-trained).

2023 Enrollment Information for Day Camp, Sports Camp, Performing Arts Camps

Enrollment is limited, so please register early. A deposit of $100 per week enrolled in Day Camp, Sports Camp or Performing Arts Camp is due at the time of registration. We accept credit card, money order, cash or check payable to William Penn Charter School. There is also a $30 registration fee for each applicant (whether attending one or multiple camps). Full payment is due by June 1. Payments made after June 1 must be in the form of credit card, money order or cash. A $30 administrative fee will be charged for any changes made to the application after it has been submitted.

Please note: We are not able to offer a lunch option or extended-day. Campers must bring their own lunch, including a beverage.

The camp fee covers all regularly scheduled activities, including a camp T-shirt. Campers must provide their own lunch, including a beverage.

All campers must have a physical examination prior to camp. Print and complete this physical exam form for each camper and returned to the summer camp office before the first day of camp.

By registering, campers and their families agree that should they develop any symptoms in the weeks leading up to camp or during camp, (or have exposure to persons who are ill with Covid-19 symptoms) they will immediately and voluntarily withdraw from participation in the camp until they have confirmed negative test results and are cleared by a physician.
