Program Highlights
In addition to playing tournament-style recorded chess with chess clocks, campers will also analyze and assess their games, studying the games and lessons of the grandmasters, and fine-tuning their openings, middle games and endgames.

All gaming camps focus on fostering rigorous, self-motivated growth within students in all areas of their personal growth. Chess Camps focuses on enjoyment and empathy first, with the goal of nurturing our natural desire for discovery, knowledge, insight, understanding and play through games.

Camp Staff
Carlos Santiago has been teaching scholastic chess and sharing the joy and excitement of chess for more than 10 years. He has taught at area schools, including Penn Charter, as well as providing individual and group private coaching. Carlos is also a professional violinist and brings planning and practice techniques learned in music preparation to learning chess.
