Recurring Gift

How does making a recurring gift work?
You can set up your gift once, and it will automatically charge your credit card.

Why should you consider making a recurring gift?

It’s cost-effective and efficient. It reduces the number of emails and phone calls you receive from PC.
It creates a reliable source of annual fund support to PC.
A recurring gift enables you to turn small donations into larger gifts over time.

Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

Make a Grant from Your Donor-Advised Fund

You can recommend a grant to Penn Charter from your donor-advised fund (DAF), a simple and tax-efficient way to support the school.

To make a gift:

Recommend a grant through your DAF provider (e.g., Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, community foundation)
Search for “William Penn Charter School” or use our EIN: (23-0953760)
Indicate your gift designation (e.g., Annual Fund, financial aid, etc.)

Please note that DAF gifts cannot be used to fulfill legally binding pledges or provide benefits (such as event tickets).

If you plan to make a DAF gift, please let us know so we can properly acknowledge your generosity.

If you'd like to make a stock transfer gift to William Penn Charter School, please provide the following information to your broker.

The value of the stock transfer and your charitable deduction will be equal to the mean value of the stock the day the shares are posted (or credited) in our account at RBC Capital Markets.

School Policy on Sale of Stock
It is the school's policy to completely divest itself of stock transferred as gifts. We do not hold stocks to anticipate stock or market changes.

Please contact our office at (215) 844-3460 ext. 131, with the name and company of your broker, the name of the stock, the number of stock and the amount of shares and date of the stock transfer.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD/IRA Gifts)

Give from Your IRA (Qualified Charitable Distribution)

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a tax-efficient gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Penn Charter.

You may transfer up to $100,000 annually from your IRA
Your gift must be made directly from your IRA custodian to the school
QCDs can count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) and are not included in taxable income

To initiate a gift:

Contact your IRA administrator and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to William Penn Charter School.
Use our legal name and EIN: (23-0953760)

We recommend notifying us of your gift so we can ensure proper acknowledgment and designation.

I give back to PC because of all PC has given me. I often say I was practically raised here. I went to my first wrestling match with my dad when I was six weeks old and later became a K-12 lifer at Penn Charter. The Quaker values I learned at PC continue to guide me and shape the person I am today.
